Your Postgraduate Studies journey here with us follows the University’s Academic Calendar. As such, it might be useful for you to pay attention to when a semester begins and ends. For students embarking on a dissertation or thesis research project, even if you’re no longer attending regular classes, you’re required to submit a student progress report before each semester ends.

There’s also a lot more activities happening during the semester on campus. There are talks, workshops, cultural and sporting events, symposiums, study group meetings that you might be interested to attend. Taking an active part in the university’s cultural and intellectual life often makes for a more rewarding student experience. That’s why it’s advisable to have an idea of the Academic calendar, so that you can make the most out of your time here at the University.

Malaysia is also a multicultural society that loves to celebrate the diversity of its cultures. This is reflected often in the public holidays that we have. And we have a lot of public holidays! You may want to plan your holiday in advance by taking note on what days the public holidays fall on.
